Highlander Fleet 14 was given this Sisu 22 Ft. walk-around with towing pedestal by Whiskey Island Marina. She is is restorable and has a transmission issue that has been solved thanks to Tim Poole at WIM. We secured another sterndrive from a boat that was destined for demolition. This vessel is needed as a Safety Boat for our Highlander centerboard Fleet 14 on Lake Erie. This vessel will be made available for the Wendy Parks WHISTLE Program in August We are asking for DONATIONS to help get this boat going this Spring 2010.
Fleet 14 Racing Tactics Seminar - March 27th.
The seminar put on by North Sails' Nick Turney was a HUGE success! The nearly 3 hour seminar totally run by Nick on a question and answer basis started out with Starting Tactics. Then we got into First Leg Tactics, Weather Mark Tactics, Downwind Leg Tactics and finally, the fine art of using the Vang, Outhaul and Traveller.
Thank you Nick for a very informative seminar! I am sure those who attended are just chomping at the bit to get out on the water and put into practice what was learned at this seminar.
A Two Disc Set of this Seminar is available for a donation of $30.00, proceeds to go to Fleet 14's Safety Boat Restoration.
